Kevin C. Lunsford
Kevin C. Lunsford, Esq. is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit, County, Family and Appellate Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator. Kevin has been providing mediation and arbitration services throughout Florida since 2001. In addition to serving as a Neutral, Kevin also teaches the Florida Supreme Court certified training programs for Circuit, Family, County, and the Arbitration training course and has been a Primary Trainer since 2014. Kevin’s mediation practice consists of both commercial litigation and high asset divorce with an emphasis in construction defect, construction lien law, real estate, personal injury, insurance coverage, and contract disputes.
Kevin is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN) and its local Chapter, the Florida Circuit-Civil Mediator Society. The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is a professional association whose membership consists of ADR professionals distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution. Membership is by invitation only and all Academy members have been thoroughly reviewed and found to meet stringent practice criteria. Members are amongst the most in-demand neutrals in their respective states, as selected by their peers and approved by local litigators.
In 2010, Kevin was appointed by the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit to create a circuit-wide mortgage foreclosure mediation program. Kevin went on to serve as the Program Manager for the Third Judicial Circuit’s Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program until all state programs were terminated in 2012.
Kevin is the past President of the Association of North Central Florida Mediators and a former Director of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators (2012-2013). Kevin was appointed to the Mediator Qualifications and Discipline Review Board (MQDRB) where he served a four-year term (2013-2017). Kevin has provided ADR training for both public and private groups including the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and he routinely mediates for the Florida Department of Financial Services.
Kevin’s educational background includes a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida (1984) and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad School of Law (1988). Kevin was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988 and has more than 30 years of experience in conflict resolution.
