R. Daniel Noey

R. DANIEL NOEY is a partner with Schutt, Schmidt & Noey. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He then obtained his law degree from The Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University in 1982.

After graduation from law school, Mr. Noey served on active duty in the United States Navy from 1982 through 1989 as a member of the Judge Advocate General Corps. After leaving active duty, he continued in the United States Navy Reserve and ultimately earned his retirement from the Navy, retiring at the rank of Commander.

Mr. Noey joined the law firm of Coker, Myers, Schickel, Cooper & Sorenson in 1989 and became a partner in that firm in 1993. In 2001, he left that firm to start the firm of Dore, Lanier, Noey & Fannin. In June of 2005, he became a partner in his current firm.

Mr. Noey is admitted to the Florida Bar and the U. S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, and is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Noey is also a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

Mr. Noey’s work centers around civil trial litigation. His main areas of concentration include personal injury, wrongful death, insurance law and coverage issues, products liability, nursing home litigation, construction litigation, motor vehicle liability, and premises liability.
